DJ Balance can be described as a master vibe setter. One could even call her a beat-barista, pressing hand crafted shots of rhythm and bass that bring listeners into movement.
Her love for vinyl, hip hop, and the art of mixing quickly evolved into her passion. Her journey officially began in 2006 when she moved from Salt Lake City, UT to Los Angeles, CA. DJ Balance attended Jam Master Jay’s Scratch DJ Academy in LA, where she acquired the skills to utilize her turntables as an instrument. DJ Balance shakes the dance floor when she steps on stage heavily strapped with an arsenal of anything from hip hop, trip hop, trap, future bass, down-tempo, garage, and house, connecting with the dancers and head nodders alike. She is versatile yet cohesive, and always pushing the boundary of being attached to a genre.
DJ Balance is a proud resident DJ at one of the longest running BASS nights in San Francisco, Beat Church, and is also a staple in the bass music community spinning all over the Bay area.
